Commercial-Grade Pendulum Squat

The ECHO Pendulum Squat Machine delivers the benefits of a deep, loaded squat with the joint-friendly mechanics of a guided machine. The pendulum arc path naturally combines elements of a traditional squat and a 45-degree leg press — targeting quads, glutes, and hamstrings with less spinal load than a barbell squat.

Plate-loaded design means no weight stack ceiling. Load it as heavy as your programming demands and progress without limits. Built for commercial facilities and serious home gyms alike.

What is a pendulum squat machine?:

A pendulum squat is a plate-loaded machine where the footplate follows a pendulum arc. This path mimics the natural squat movement while reducing spinal load and allowing greater depth with less technique requirement than a free barbell squat.

Is a pendulum squat better than a hack squat machine?:

Both are effective for quad-dominant training. The pendulum squat generally allows a more upright torso angle and deeper range of motion, which many lifters find more comfortable and effective for quad isolation.

Can beginners use a pendulum squat machine?:

Yes. The guided movement path reduces the technique demand of free squatting, making it accessible for beginners while still delivering serious quad and glute training stimulus.

What muscles does the pendulum squat target?:

The pendulum squat primarily targets the quadriceps, with significant glute and hamstring activation depending on foot placement and squat depth.
